About the Author

I grew up in Southeast Asia as a missionary kid and attended boarding school during the Vietnam War. The school was moved several times to other countries from its original location in the Vietnam highlands. I've written a work of historical fiction surrounding some of the locations and events I experienced. Adding one of my loves, time travel, plus some fantasy and a cast of fictional characters results in an intriguing story for middle grade readers and older. Integrating the Bible to demonstrate its relevance to life's challenges adds to my passion for putting words on paper in a fun and exciting way so that my work instructs as it entertains.  

My day job is working as the president and chief operating officer of a behavioral health counseling agency. My husband and I enjoy a similar history and have a remarkable son who, among other accomplishments, has served in the military. This touches a special place in my heart as a result of those who rescued me and the entire boarding school in 1965 Vietnam.
